Welcome to the Department of Physical Education

Historical Overview
The Department of Physical Education at the National University of Mongolia (NUM) was officially established on October 5, 1949, following the creation of the Military Physical Education Gymnasium in 1948 by Rector's Order No. 24. Initially guided by Soviet expert P.I. Silaev and instructors I.R. Volshuk and A.A. Mikhailov, the gymnasium laid the groundwork for integrating physical education into the academic structure of NUM.
