The Financial Regulatory Commission’s “Financial Market Knowledge Sharing Day” was held
The Financial Regulatory Commission organized a “Financial Market Awareness Day” for students and youth at the School of Business of the National University of Mongolia to provide knowledge about the current situation in the financial sector, including the characteristics of the capital market, the insurance sector, and future development trends.
N. Khuderchuluun, Deputy Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Commission, opened the event and said, “The Financial Regulatory Commission has been expanding and developing its cooperation with public and private sector organizations to create an inclusive and multi-platform financial market, increase economic growth and development, conduct joint research and analysis, and make policy recommendations. In this context, since the memorandum of cooperation with the National University of Mongolia was signed in 2021, many projects have been implemented jointly. For example, academics from the National University of Mongolia participate in the Securities Market and Insurance Policy Council and the Securities Market Expert Council under the commission, contributing their knowledge, experience, and intelligence to determine sector policies and launch new products and services in the market. In addition, in connection with the introduction of technological advances in all sectors, we will work together to conduct risk-bearing capacity, factor, and sensitivity calculations, and exchange experiences in developing optimal assessment methods, including macro-level factors affecting microfinance, insurance, and capital markets, and other research and analysis. “In particular, we are working on the development of the sector, new technologies, investment, legal environment and interdisciplinary research, and we are working on the implementation of projects, programs and consulting services, so we encourage all students to actively participate in this event.”
During the event, presentations were made on the topics of “Development and future trends of the capital market”, “Risk and insurance”, “Capital market and investment opportunities”, and “Insured deposits”, and questions, answers and discussions were held among the students to test their knowledge. There was also an event where securities, insurance companies and professional associations introduced their activities and offered job opportunities. In addition, the students got acquainted with the activities of the Financial Regulatory Commission and the “Mongolian Stock Exchange” JSC, participated in the opening cymbal event of the day, and also visited the treasury and exhibition hall of the Mongolian State Treasury.
