
NUM Students Clinch Gold at the World University Cheerleading Championship
The International University Sports Federation (FISU) successfully hosted its biennial World University Cheerleading Championship in Gothenburg, Sweden, from June 5 to 7, 2026.
Representing their country, the Mongolian National University’s Cheerleading Team delivered a spectacular performance to capture first place and bring home the gold medal in the TEAM POM category.
The national team was led by Head Coach D. Tumentugs, who holds the role of an International Judge and is a Master of Sports in Gymnastics. She serves as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physical Education of the National University of Mongolia (NUM), Business School. The championship-winning roster featured the following talented NUM students:

P. Davaadulam – School of Sciences, Division of Humanities (Korean Translation Department, 1st Year)
With this historic victory, the national student team has elevated Mongolia’s profile on the world stage and written a proud new chapter in the history of Mongolian university sports.
